South Korean ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Yun-Young made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhabn on Thursday.
President Abdul Hamid thanked the ambassador for taking steps in expanding bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Republic of Korea during his tenure, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS after the meeting.
The President urged the outgoing ambassador to continue to play role in boosting Korean investment in Bangladesh.
He also thanked the Korean envoy for his country’s assistance for the solar project of the Jatiya Sangsad.
During the meet, Lee Yun-Young thanked the President for extending all-out cooperation during his assignment in Bangladesh and said wherever he stays, he would continue to play role in improving the image of Bangladesh.
As both the countries have similarity in many areas, especially in agriculture, Bangladesh can follow the Korean model to take the nation ahead, he added.
