Ambassador of Russian Federation Alexander Vi Kentyevich Mantytskiy on Monday said Russia can contribute to energy security and deep sea explore programme of Bangladesh.
He showed the interest as he made a courtesy call on State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid at his secretariat office here.
“Russia is very much keen to enhance cooperation in energy sector of Bangladesh,” the envoy said.
Terming Russia as a tested friend, Hamid said Russia can help to impart training to Bangladeshi engineers. “We can exploit Russia’s experience in exploring on-shore oil and gas. Bangladesh will welcome public and private sector investment of Russia,” he added.
