A three-member delegation led by Dr Baicher Vladimir, Dean of the Directing Department of Russian State University on Wednesday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university.
Other members of the delegation were Alexander P Demin, Director of the Russian Centre of Science & Culture in Dhaka and Fedulova Anastasiya, Theatre Producer and Festival Manager of Moscow.
Chairman of the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies of DU Sudip Chakraborti and Prof Dr Md Israfil Shaheen were present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed possibilities of strengthening on-going joint collaborative academic and research programmes between Dhaka University and the Russian State University. They also discussed possibilities of introducing joint PhD programmes between the two institutions.
The VC thanked the guests for their visit to the Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic activities.
