UNB, Dhaka :Sheikh Russel KC made a good start in the opening 2nd leg match of the 10-team Nitol Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League beating Uttar Baridhara Club by 5-2 goals at Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Tuesday.With the day’s feat, Sheikh Russel KC have secured 15 points from 10 matches while Uttar Baridhara Club remained at six points, also playing 10 matches. Mithun Chowdhury put Sheikh Russel KC ahead in the 6th minute by a good header utilising a left flank cross from midfielder Sohel Rana (1-0). Haitian forward Pasacal Milien doubled the lead in 32nd minute by placing a Sohel Rana low cross in the roof of the net (2-0).Jamaican striker Ricardo Cousins scored the 3rd goal for Russel KC in the 55th minute by a placing shot off a long pass of Pascal (3-0).Nigerian striker Kosko reduced the margin for Uttar Baridhara in the 38th minute by a neat placing shot beating Russel KC goalie Biplob capitalising on a low cross of Lucky Divine (3-1).Substitute winger Shakil Ahmed further widened the Russel KC margin in the 73rd minute by a rebound-header when his first attempt came his way blocked by Baridhara goalie Sony Dutta (4-1).Riacardo Cousins scored his second goal in the 82nd minute as unmarked Jamaican received the ball in the middle of the box and blasted the home (5-1).In the last minute of the match, Baridhara captain Swapon scored the 2nd goal for his side from a penalty (5-2). Uttar Baridhara got the spot kick when Russel KC defender Reza handled the ball in the danger zone while trying to foil an attempt of midfielder Dulal Hasan.
