Sheikh Arif Bulbon :Two popular faces of the country’s two arenas in media – TV play and music – are to be introduced together under a common platform. Popular TV actress-model of present time Anny Khan and singer-music composer Rupam are going to perform as radio jockeys (RJ) in a programme of a radio channel. They will be seen together as RJs of a programme titled Weekend Special Night on Radio 71 (FM 98.4). Anny Khan and Rupam will perform as RJs in the programme which will be broadcasted every Thursday from 10:30pm to 2:00am. First episode of the programme is scheduled to be broadcasted on June 4.To work as a RJ, singer Rupam told this correspondent, “I am going to start a new journey in my career to work as a radio jockey (RJ). As I am a singer and I shall try to attach with the listeners talking with them about music. Therefore, I will also render song in the programme. I believe it will be a nice programme. I am requesting the listeners to remain with us on June 4 from 10:30pm to 2:00pm.”Actress Anny Khan shared her feelings by this way, “When I went to attend in different radio shows as invited guests, listeners requested me to work as a RJ in FM stations. To keep their requests and only for their inspirations, I have agreed to work as a RJ in the programme Weekend Special Night. It is also a liking matter for me that Rupam Bhai will also work as a RJ along with me in the programme. I hope we can present a nice programme for the listeners.”RJ Nasif informed that he will extend his hands towards Anny and Rupam while they will perform in the programme as RJs. It may be mentioned that Rupam’s debut solo album titled Mon Jauley was released in 2002. Rodela Meye, Mon Bhashaiya De, Aj Swapno Dekhar Din and Jonom Jonom are Rupam’s other released solo albums. His last album was released in 2013 under the banner of Laser Vision. He also gave his vocal for playback songs for movies Warning, Big Brother and Bhalobasha Express. On the other hand, on the occasion of coming Eid-ul-Fitr Anny Khan acted in two plays – Al Harun’s Abu Hasan The Celebrity and Shimul Sarkar’s Namer Birombona. Anny is also waiting to release her acted first movie Rongdhonu right now, she said.
