Today is the birthday of legendary singer of the Subcontinent Runa Laila. This year she will celebrate her birthday attending a family programme in Kolkata. To attend that family programme, Runa on Friday evening went to Kolkata. After staying there for two days she will return to Dhaka on November 19.
On November 21, she will leave for London. Staying in London till December 7 she will return to Bangladesh on December 8, she added.
While talking about her birthday Runa Laila told this correspondent before leaving Dhaka, “Despite having keen interest I cannot be able to stay in Dhaka on my birthday because I have to attend a family programme in Kolkata. Everybody pray for me as I can remain well.”
On November 12, Runa Laila for the second time became highest tax payer. She said, “Since 1974 I have been paying tax regularly. Inshallah I will continue it in future. I request all to pay taxes for the development of the country and for the people.”
