Melody queen Runa Laila has not lent her voice to a new song for a long time. She has been active on stage both at home and abroad. After the long hiatus, the legendary singer of the Indian Subcontinent is now back with a new song, which will be released under music production company Dhruba Music Station (DMS). And the big surprise is that Runa Laila has composed the song herself – for the very first time. The news has been making the rounds on social media since Sunday. Kabir Bakul penned the lyrics of the song, while UK-based music director Raja Kaasheff has arranged the music.
The song was recorded on February 14 at band Chirkut’s studio in Niketon, Dhaka.
The song has been produced by Dhruba Guha, owner of DMS. Dhruba has expressed his gratitude to the singer on social media. Runa Laila also told the media that if it weren’t for Dhruba, it would not have been possible.
The first couple of lines of the song are: “Pheratey pari nei tomay a bhalobashay.” DMS also informed that they are planning to make a music video for the song, which will be released on their YouTube channel and other social media platforms.
