Talented actress Runa Khan has showed her keen interest to work under Afsana Mimi’s direction in TV play. In her long time career, Runa did not get the opportunity to work under Mimi’s direction. For this reason, she had a dream in this regard. Afsana Mimi also tried to cast Runa in her works in different times due to mismatch her schedule. Mimi is also not regular in giving direction. If she is regular in giving direction Runa obviously get the scope. But now Mimi is giving more time to her film institute. So, she cannot give time in direction. Sometimes she hosts in TV programmes in different satellite channels.
While talking in this regard Runa Khan said, “In fact, I was brought up to watch acting of Shomi Apu, Mimi Apu and Bipasha Apu. It is fact that watching their acting I became interested in acting. Mimi Apa gives comfort to her actors during shooting. After knowing it from my colleagues I also showed keen interest to work under her direction. Therefore, we are from same theatre group, Nagorik. When I acted in play Dewan Gazi’r Kichchha under Asaduzzaman Noor Bhai Bipasha Apa and Mimi Apa appreciated me. It was a great achievement for me.”
Afsana Mimi said, “Runa is a good actress. In future, when ball and bat will be matched we will surely work together.”
Runa Khan also informed that she is now in Cox’s Bazar to take part in shooting of Animesh Aich’s drama serial Good Bad & Ugly.
