Runa Khan again in govt-grant movie

Sheikh Arif Bulbon :Last year popular actress Runa Khan started to perform in a government grant movie titled Chhitkini. To take it as a challenge, most of the time Runa’s appearance on the screen in TV plays was fewer than other times. This year, Runa Khan is going to acting in another government grant movie titled Kalo Megh-er Bhela. Adopted from the novel titled Kalo Megh-er Bhela written by Nirmalendu Goon Faruk Hossain has written script of the movie. Daughter Goon, Mrittika Goon will give direction of film Kalo Megh-er Bhela.In the film, Runa Khan will perform in role of Rosy. But when shooting of the film will start it has not been finalised.While talking about to perform in the movie Runa Khan told this correspondent, “In my first acted government grant movie Chhitkini, I acted in the lead role. In the new movie Kalo Megh-er Bhela, I will again perform in the lead role. I am very much optimistic about the movies because these will create a huge impact in my acting career. In fact, I have concentrated acting in the film industry right now. I want to work in film industry very attentively. These two films are basically new challenge in my life now.”In the meantime, though she got the opportunity to perform in the big screen Runa doesn’t disagree to act in TV plays. But she has decreased working in TV plays now. Runa Khan’s acted and Dipankar Dipon’s directed a drama serial titled Loveguru Dot Com is being telecasted on Channel 9 now. Therefore, Runa’s acted another serial titled Ghomta, directed by Kaisar Ahmed, is also being telecasted on Banglavision now. Within very short time Runa’s acted another new serial titled Rascal, directed by Sagor Jahan, will be telecasted on Banglavision, she said.Meanwhile, on the occasion of nine years celebration of Runa Khan’s performed children puppet serial Sisimpur will be telecasted now on RTV instead of Bangladesh Television (BTV). On the other hand, Runa Khan last performed as a model in a TV commercial of Dutch-Bangla Bank, which was directed by Afzal Hossain. A dialogue in the TV commercial titled Bakir din shesh, thokar din khotom, which was uttered by Runa Khan got popularity among all the viewers. Specially this dialogue is now very popular in village areas across the country.
