Khan Ataur Rahman is one of the leading cultural personals in Bangladesh. Rumana Islam is his perfect inheritor. A song rendered by her titled Hairey aamar mon matano desh is a legendary song. In the meantime, her rendered other songs like Jodi ar dekha nai hoi, Bhalobashi maago tokey and Sabuj Patai sona roder jhikimiki also became popular among the music lovers.
That Rumana Islam is coming with a Boishakhi song this time. Noted music director Farid Ahmed has composed its music. Title of the song is Notun diner notun alo ranga notun saj, nagor dolai dulchhey jeno sobar-e mon aj. Farida Farhana wrote lyrics of the song.
Already recording of its music video was done at Farid Ahmed’s studio made by Alamgir and choreographed by Farhana Chowdhury Baby.
Artistes of Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts also performed with Rumana Islam in the music video. Recording of the video was done recently.
While talking about the Boishakhi song Rumana Islam told this correspondent, “I have rendered the song to spread Boishakhi flavor among all through this song. It was tried to make a representation of Pahela Boishakh through the song with new hope and expectations. Overall it became a nice work and I have enjoyed a lot while rendering the song. Music video has been made nicely. The performers who performed with me they also did well. In fact, it has become a splendid work at last.”
Rumana Islam informed that the song will be available on Youtube from April 7.
