Ruman Sana and Taminul Islam of Bangladesh moved semi-final of the 2nd ISSF Islamic Solidarity Archery Championships beating their respective rivals in the elimination round recurve men’s singles quarterfinals matches held on Monday at the Moulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s other elimination round recurve men’s singles matches, Ruman beat his Saudia Arabia rival Alwi Mansour by 6-0 set and Tamimul Islam of Bangladesh outclassed Alotaibi Fares Mater of Saudi Arabia by 6-5 set.
In the day’s other recurve men’s singles matches, Una Mart of Estonia beat Bereket Burak of Turkey by 6-0 set, Binali Abdalelah of Saudi Arabia defeated Ibrahim Sheikh Rezowan of Bangladesh by 6-0 set to move to the last four berth.
In the compound women’s singles events, Roksana Akter of Bangladesh beat El Faiz Souad of Morocco by 139-135, Bonna Akter of Bangladesh defeated her compatriot Ritu Akter by 132-130, Almashhadani Fatimah of Iraq outplayed Suma Biswas of Bangladesh 142-135,
Hoim Emity of Estonia outclassed Parsada Acharya of Nepal by 139-133 to move the semi-final.
Besides, in the qualification round compound men’s singles event, Asim Kumar Das stood first scoring 690, Abul Kashem Mamun palced in the second position scoring 679, Alrodhan of Saodi Arabia finished third position scoring 673 and Milon Mollah of Bangladesh booked the sttod at the fifth position scoring 672.
