The rugby under-16 players’ training programme inaugurated on Saturday at Shah Abdul Hamid stadium in Gaibandha.
Gaibandha Deputy Commissioner M Abdus Samad formally inaugurated the progrrame as the chief guest while Gaibandha Police Super and Gaibandha District Sports Association vice president Ashraful Islam was present as the special guest.
Organized by National Sports Council in cooperation of Gaibandha District Sports Association, the training course will continue till September 2.
A total of 60 trainees are taking part in the programme that is conducted by level one trainer M Kanchan.
Earlier, the rugby federation conducted the training programme in eight districts. The districts are Chittagong, Faridpur, Satkhira, Jamalpur, Madaripur, Narayanganj, Rangpur and Narail, a rugby federation press release said.
