Sports Reporter :Pacer Rubel Hossain, selected for the final World Cup team of Bangladesh, got bail on Sunday. The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge granted bail to Rubel Hossain until the Investigation Officer of Mirpur Police Station submitted the charge sheet to the court. Imrul Kayes, the Session Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Court ordered to give the pacer bail after an hour long hearing. Rubel Hossain was produced before the Court from the jail and he got an anticipatory bail yesterday.Now Rubel Hossain has no obstacle to take part in the World Cup Cricket scheduled to be held in Australia and New Zealand from February 14.Bangladesh National Cricket team will leave Bangladesh for Australia on January 24.Chairman of Cricket Operations Committee of BCB and Director of BCB Akram Khan said on Sunday, “Pacer Rubel Hossain has no barrier to play in the World Cup Cricket 2015. Rubel will tour Australia and New Zealand with Bangladesh National Cricket team. The pacer will join the practice session of Bangladesh National Cricket team beginning from tomorrow (Monday).”Earlier, a lesser known film actress Naznin Akter Happy sued the pacer under Prevention of Women & Children Repression Act. Happy filed a case against the pacer as per 9/1 Act at the Mirpur Police Station on December 13.Happy alleged that she and Rubel had a nine-month affair and Rubel developed an extramarital relation with her and promised to marry her. She also alleged that Rubel raped her several times. Later on December 1, Rubel Hossain refused to marry her.Thus, Happy filed a rape case against Rubel at the Mirpur Police Station as per 9/1 Act.Rubel Hossain was sent to jail after the pacer surrendered before the Court of Dhaka Metropolitan Chief Magistrate on Thursday last. Anwar Sadat, the Magistrate of the Court ordered the authority to send the pacer to the jail. Happy said to the journalists, “I shall withdraw my case if Rubel marries me.”Earlier, a High Court Bench comprising of Justice Syed AB Mahmudul Haque and Justice Md Akram Hossain Chowdhury granted Rubel anticipatory four-week bail on December 15. The Court also ordered Rubel Hossain to surrender before the lower court during the bail.The Police of Mirpur Police Station arranged physical examination of Happy body at the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on December 14.Meanwhile, the investigation officer of the case SI Masud Parvez said that according to the Forensic report Happy had a physical relation with some one earlier. But the person is particular with whom Happy has physical intimacy could not be identified.
