A teacher of Rajshahi University (RU) was killed when a covered van hit his motorcycle in Chamrapatti rail crossing area of Natore on Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Professor Dr Abu Yunus Khan Mohammad Jahangir,40, a teacher of Arabic Department of the university. Police said the accident took place at about 7:45 am while he along with his son was going to his home district Sirajganj from Rajshahi by riding his motorcycle, leaving them injured. They were rushed to Natore Sadar Hospital from where Abu Yunus Khan was referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) as his condition deteriorated. Later, he succumbed to his injures on way to RMCH at about 10:00 am. Enamul Haque, in-charge of RMCH police camp, confirmed the incident. — Rajshahi, Dec 9 (UNB)
