RU Correspondent :A Rajshahi University student yesterday (Thursday) succumbed to his injuries after nine days at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. He was injured after falling down from a tree.The deceased was identified as Jarjij Hossain Rajib, 22, a master’s student of Social Work Department of the University. He was the son of Abdus Salam from Durgapur Upazila of Rajshahi district.Jarjij received injuries in his head and legs after he fell down from a cocoanut tree of the university on April 26. He was undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. He breathed his last on Thursday morning. His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at the University central mosque at 11am and he was buried at his family graveyard. RU Vice-Chancellor Professor Muhammad Mizanuddin, Pro-VC Chawdhury Sarwar Jahan, faculty members, teachers and students expressed profound shock at the death of Jarjij. They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the deceased family members.
