The Social work department at Rajshahi University will celebrate its golden jubilee on December 20 this year.
Social work department head Dr Sharmistta Roy disclosed it in a press conference at the department office Sunday at 12.30pm.
The former and present students were urged to register to take part in the event while the registration will be started from May 15 and continue till June 31, 2014.
The registration fees for each of the former teachers and students have been fixed TK 1500 and for present students TK 500, for husband or wife Tk 800 and the children at the age of 2 to 8 years Tk 500.
Registration form will be available at the social work dept office or in the website www.ru.ac.bd/notice/reg_form_social_work.pdf.
Among others, Prof Jalal Uddin, D. Fakhrul Islam and Prof Afreena Mamun also addressed the press conference.
