Rajshahi University (RU) has cancelled the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) system in the first year honours admission tests for the 2018-19 academic year.
Professor M Abdus Sobhan made the announcement while talking to journalists after attending a programme held over the 65th founding anniversary of the university on Friday.
He said, “It is really not possible to justify talent of a student throw MCQ system and so from now on
the MCQ system will no longer be in first-year admission tests.”
The university administration has taken a decision that the students have to sit for 200 marks written test of one hour to secure a position in the university, he added.
