Over a hundred journalists working at Rajshahi University campus staged a sit-in and blocked the Dhaka-Rajshahi Highway in front of the university main entrance at 4:30 pm protesting against the attack on BSMRSTU students.
More than a hundred students of the university also took part in the blockade programme where they expressed solidarity with the agitating journalists.
They withdrew their blockade at 5:00 pm in the face of the police’s impediment. Later, they brought out a protest procession on the campus and hold a short rally.
From the rally, the students demanded immediate resignation of BSMRSTU vice-chancellor and bringing the perpetrators who carried out the attack on the agitating students at MSMRSTU campus.
