Journalists of Rajshahi University on Wednesday strongly protested against the attack on two journalists at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology for resisting sexual harassment of an SSC examinee.
They demanded exemplary punishment of those Chattra League men, student wing of the ruling Awami League, who were involved in beating up the journos.
They came up with their demand while addressing a human chain organised by the journalists of the university in front of the university at around 12pm.
Addressing the human chain, the speakers said asked what could be more shameful incident than attacking on journalists who just resisted sexual harassment of an SSC examinee.
They also observed that the attack on SUST journalists is a threat for campus journalism, and demanded exemplary punishment of the attackers.
