RU Fine Arts students facing session jam

The masters batch students of 2015 year of Rajshahi University are facing acute session jam for about three years. The students of the batch started their classes in 2018. Their final examinations were also finished at the end of the same year. Since then, 6 months had been elapsed but their results are not yet published.
The students of the masters batch, said they had completed their four years’ honours course within 6 years while one year masters course in 3 years. But they have not got their examination’s results till now.
For not getting results, they are expressing disappointment as they can not apply for existing good jobs. The students, however, blamed the teachers’ negligence of the department.
According to the Fine Arts faculty sources, it was known that the three departments— Painting, Oriental Art and Printmaking, Ceramics and Sculpture, and Graphic Design, Crafts and History of Art were launched in the 2015-2016 academic years breaking the Fine Arts department.
However, masters students of 2010-11 academic session of the department are not get their results till now although according to the university ordinance, all of departments are liable to publish the all of examinations’ results within 90 days.
More of the victim students alleged that they notified the department’s teachers in several time to publish their results as soon as possible but did not pay any heed in this regard.
A recent job circular is published which application last date is on 20 May where they want to the master’s pass students. If the results was published on time, we would get the opportunity to apply for that circular, said some of students expressing disappointment.
In reply to a query, Mostafa Sharif Anowar, chairman of the Ceramics and Sculpture department and also the chairman of the examinations committee of that year, said The New Nation that ‘We have already made a tabulation committee but a course teacher has not submitted course number yet so that the results publishing process is being delayed’.
Prof Siddhartha Shankar Talukder, Dean of the Fine Arts Faculty said that the results publishing process is going on. As soon as possible it will be published.
