A team of DB police arrested five persons, including a student of Rajshahi University from the two separate centers of Rajshahi city for providing proxy in primary teacher recruitment tests on Saturday.
The detainees were identified as Tusmi Sheikh, Aalmgir Hossain, Sarowar Hossain, Saidur Rahman and Shaleho Ahmed.
Among the detainees, Tusmi Sheikh was a student of RU International Relation department. She was taking part in the recruitment tests held at Rajshahi Government City College in place of Shakila Khatun as a fake examinee.
On the other hand, police detained Shaleho Ahmed from Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute’s center as he adopted a way of forgery in the examination hall.
Rashidul Islam, an investigator of Rajshahi Metropolitan police confirmed the matter and said that Tusmi took part in the examination in place of Shakila for dealing huge amount of money. Sarowar and Saidur introduced Tusmi with Shakila and his husband Alamgir.
However, on primary interrogation, they are confessed their involvement with the primary recruitment tests forgery.
Legal actions would be taken immediately in this connection, the investigator of RMP also added.
