RU facilitates Pankaj Saran

Pankaj Saran, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh on Monday said, Bangladesh and India should work united to enrich the quality of higher education in both countries as well as overall development of the countries.
He made this remark while the Rajshahi University authority facilitated to the honor of his Excellency held at the university senate bhabon at 10:00am with RU vice chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin in the chair.
He also said the two countries have to increase cooperation in education sector to make the relationships more strength.
“We need to grow and prosper together as next-door neighbors as the two neighboring countries are facing some common challenges in the various fields including poverty reduction, shortage of resources, equality and social harmony”, he also said.
He also emphasised on cultural ties and people to people contact between two countries apart from educational, trade, tourism and seaway.
RU VC Prof Mizan handed over honor crest to Indian high commissioner.
Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Pro-VC of the university delivered welcome speech at programme.
VC in his speech desired that educational cooperation between RU and different Indian University would be increased after visiting the university by Pankaj Saran.
Among others, Indian deputy high commissioner Sandip Mittra, RU register Prof Entajul Haque, public relation administrator Prof Elias Hossain and Proctor Prof Tarikul Hasan were present at programme.
Later, high commissioner addressed a cultural event arranged by the theatre department of the university.
Earlier, He also visited the Shaheed Sriti Sangrohoshala of the university, the only liberation war museum among the countries’ public university campuses.
