RU BCL leader threatens journo

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) General Secretary SM Tawhid Al Hossain alias Tuhin, of Rajshahi University (RU) unit threatened of killing of a journalist on Saturday as his cell phone number was not saved in journalist’s mobile phone.
The victim was identified as Amzad Hossain Shimul, a Staff Reporter of Daily Amader Shomoy. He is a fourth year student of Mass Communication and Journalism Department and also a resident of Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman hall.
Shimul told that BCL leader called him yesterday at 2:00pm but he could not receive in the mean time.
He could not identify the number as his sim card was in new mobile, he added.
“While I called back to the number later and asked about the address of the caller, BCL leader Tuhin raised his voice and said “why has not his number saved in my mobile? Shimul also said.
He also hurled abuse to him and threatened of killing quoting today or tomorrow I shall see you.
‘If any report was published in this regard today, he threatened for dire consequence’, he added.
Contacted, Tuhin told that Shimul misbehaved with my friend and I was just saying these words as a fun adding why he (Shimul) did not save my cell number in his phone? I am general secretary of RU unit BCL.
Contacted, RU BCL president Mizanur Rahman Rana told that they will look into the matter.
