A Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activist of Rajshahi University Unit was suspended Tuesday from organisation as he assaulted a journalist on Monday.
The suspended BCL activist Rabiul Islam alias Milton, a fourth year student of Philosophy Department on Monday evening assaulted Mortuza Nur, RU Correspondent of Daily Uttara Pratidin, a local daily in Rajshahi while the latter protested assaulting of a female student made by Rabiul and his fellows.
“We have suspended Rabiul for breaching the party rules and asked him to refrain from all the organizational activities”, said Rashedul Islam Ranju, BCL RU unit acting president, yesterday afternoon.
