The written test for admission to the first year honours under B, C and D units of Rajshahi University (RU) for the academic sessions of 2018-19 held on Monday.
The exams were taken in 5 shifts from 08.00.am to 05.30pm on the day.
Some 24 thousand 803 applicants of B unit, 31 thousands 9 of C unit and 30 thousands 890 of D unit appeared in the tests.
Due to huge gathering of admission seekers the food and accommodation cost went up on the campus and its adjoining areas.
BCL brought out a welcome procession on the
campus breaking embargo on political activity on the campus by the authority.

In this year a total of 1, 47,750 students have been nominated to seat for exam in 2nd phase against 4700 seats under the 9 Faculties.
