RTV, a private satellite channel of the country will broadcast all the matches of the Bangamata Under-19 Women’s International Gold Cup Tournament live. The football meet is scheduled to be held from April 23 to May 3. A signing ceremony was held between K-Sports and RTV at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Tuesday. CEO of K-Sports Fahad MA Karim and CEO of RTV Syed Ashiqur Rahman signed the agreement papers on behalf of their respective organizations. A press conference was also held on the same day. It may be mentioned that K-Sports bought all the rights of the tournament for women. Minister for Planning MA Mannan, MP, President of BFF Kazi Md Salahuddin, Senior Vice-President of BFF Abdus Salam Mushedy, MP, Vic-President of BFF Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Chairperson of Women’s Football Committee of BFF Mahfuza Akter Kiron, CEO of K-Sports Fahad MA Karim, CEO of RTV Syed Ashiqur Rahman were present, among others.
MA Mannan said, ” We shall try to make a particular budget for sports. Our Government will give all sorts of co-operation to uplift the women’s football.”
Kazi Salahuddin said, ” This is for the first time we are going to stage an international football tournaments for women. Our girls are doing well in the international tournaments.”
Fahad MA Karim said, “We are highly delighted that we have got chance to arrange this kind of football tournament. We shall give our cent percent effort to organize the football meet. I am thanking RTV that it has come forward to telecast the gala football competition. I think we are starting a new journey.”
Syed Ashiqur Rahmen said, ” The women of our country are coming forward day by day. We shall try to lift the tournament in a higher stage by telecasting all the matches.”
Abdus Salam Murshedy said, ” I am paying tribute to the Language Martyrs first. We are going to stage such kind of football meet for the first time. Our women are doing well in the regional football. Female footballers of Bangladesh emerged as the champions in the SAFF Women’s Championship, SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship, SAFF U-18 Championship.”
