An official of RTV was crushed under train when he was crossing a level crossing in the city on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Polash Roy (30), son of late Bhanu Roy from Astagram upazila in Kishoreganj district.
Witnesses said that the victim was trying to cross the level crossing at Kuril avoiding signal at around 7:45am. Just then a Dhaka-bound train ran over him and left him dead on the spot.
Jahidur Rahman, Assistant sub-Inspector of Kamalapur General Railway Police(GRP), confirmed the incident of death under train at Kuril in the morning. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College for autopsy.
