For the second time, popular satellite channel RTV
honoured nine enlightened women at a programme titled “RTV Pond’s Alokito Nari 2014,” held at Bengal
Multimedia Studio in the city’s Tejgaon area to mark the International Women’s
Day 2014.
In eight categories, nine enlightened women – Rasheda K Chowdhury (Education), Ferdausi Rahman (Music), Mushtari Shafi (Literature), Sayeda Khanam
(Photojournalism), Dr Valerie Ann Taylor (Social
Service), Sarah Begum Kabori (Acting, Film), Shimul Yousuf (Acting, Theatre), Rani Hamid (Sports) and Kaniz Almas Khan (Business) received awards at the
programme. n
