A roundtable discussion on “Waterlogging Makes Dhaka City Unlivable” will be held today (Saturday) at 11:00 am.
The New Nation and Manik Mia Foundation are jointly organising the function in the conference room of Manik Mia Foundation at Ittefaq Bhaban in the city.
Urban experts, environmentalists, senior government officials related to the city planning, academics, NGO representatives working on human rights, city water supply and sanitation, have been invited to take part in the discussion.

Jainal Abedin Bhuiyan, Managing Director of WASA Engineer Taqseem A Khan, former Director General of Water Resources Planning Organisation (WARPO) Engineer M Inamul Haque, Chairman of Paribesh Bachao Andolan (Poba) Abu Naser Khan, Ms Gaous Pearee of WBB Trust, among others, are expected to take part in the discussion.
