A roundtable conference titled ‘Imperatives for Globalisation of Bangladesh Industries’ will be held at BIM’s Dhaka campus on Thursday.
Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) in association with the Ministry of Industries is arranging the roundtable conference.
Professor Dr. Nawaz Sharif, a world famous personality in the area of technological innovation, will be the honorary resource person at the conference to be presided over by Industries Secretary Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah.
Director General of BIM Khandakar Rakibur Rahman, President of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation Tapan Chowdhury and President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed will, among others, address the progamme.
In November, 2013, BIM arranged a high-valued training ‘Technological Innovation in Organisations’, instructed by Prof Dr Nawaz Sharif.
In continuation to the course and to act as a catalyst for the above goal, BIM in association with the Industries Ministry is launching Bangladesh Industries Globalisation Initiative (BIGI).
The first event of this BIGI is the three-hour roundtable conference while the second event is a three-day ‘discourse-cum-practice’ on ‘Technological Innovation Management for Enterprises to be Globally Competitive’ to be held from May 23 to 25 for technology executives.
