Daffodil International University (DIU) and Venture Capital & Private Equity Association of Bangladesh (VCPAB) jointly organized a roundtable discussion on ‘Angel Investment in Bangladesh: The Way Forward’ held on Thursday at the 71 Milonayoton of DIU.
Baybars Altuntas, Chairman, World Business Angel Investment Forum (WBAF) present at the program as the Keynote speakers. Md. Sirazul Islam, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) was present at the program as the chief guest while Shameem Ahsan, Chairman, Venture Capital and Private Equity Association of Bangladesh (VCPAB) was present as the guest of honor.
Presided over by Dr Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU the program was also addressed by Prof Dr Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, Prof Dr SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family, Treasurer, Registrar, Deans, Head of the Departments and many other distinguished guest from Bangladeshi business organizations.
While presenting the keynote speech, Baybars Altuntas said that the foreign direct investment is gradually decreasing in previous five six years.
In this regard we have no alternative to create entrepreneur in locally. So that local investors should come forward.
Addressing as the chief guest Md. Sirazul Islam said that Bangladesh has lot of rich people.
The economy of Bangladesh will be change if they come forward to help the young entrepreneurs.
Dr Md. Sabur Khan said to his presidential speech that we need lot of Angel Investor. Angel Investor will create entrepreneurs. And entrepreneurs will change the economy of the country.
