Rotary International President Gary CK Huang said that his organization has spent more than 10,000 crore taka for polio eradication so far. He was speaking at a press conference at a hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday. It was attended, among others, by Rotary Governor Safina Rahman, Governor Elect and SAM Shawket Hossen, Governor Nominee Md. Ayub and Past Governor Rafique Ahmed Siddique.
World Rotary President Gary inducted 215 new Rotary members which included 115 female members. He distributed awards to Rotarians for their outstanding achievements in different humanitarian activities.
Rotary President assured more humanitarian aid for the distressed people of Bangladesh.
