Rotary Governor Mohammad Ayub said that Rotary spent 10 Billion dollar to eradicate polio from the world. He said on Tuesday at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity. Former Governor Jalal U Ahmed, Salim Reza, Secretary General Raquib Sarder, Deputy Governor Abul Khair Chowdhury also spoke at the conference.
Governor said that Bangladesh was freed from polio 10 years ago. Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria isn’t yet free from polio. Rotary taken up various program for Polio- free world. Bill Gates donates 550 Million Dollar for this program.
About 12 lac members of Rotary and 2 crore volunteers of the world working hard for Polio- free world. Former Governor Shamsul Huda, SAM Shawket Hossain & leaders of Rotary were present at the conference.
