A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on Thursday at Lalmatia, Dhaka between Rotary International District 3281 and Bondhu Foundation which is supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft for Intenatiale Zusmmenarbeit (GIZ) to provide low cost sustainable energy to marginalized people.
Under the agreement, Rotary and Bondhu Foundation will provide 1,500 Bondhu Chula pollution – free and hygienic cook stoves for households habituated by marginalized people.
The advantages of the Bondhu Chula were apart from no smoke in the kitchen, increased energy effiency of 30% and fuel saving of 50% compared to traditional stores.
