Rotary Governor M. Khairul Alam announced the annual programmes of Rotarys for the session of 2019-2020 at year launching press conference at the National Press Club on Sunday, says a press release. Former Governor A.F.M. Alamgir, Hafizullah, Governor (elect) Md. Rubayat Hossain, Deputy Governor Abul Khair Chowdhury, Rotarian Swadesh Devnath also spoke at the conference. The Governor said, Rotary spended $ 1.3 billion dollar so far for eradication of polio from world. Rotary’s efforts will continue to prevent the outbreak of this disease. He said that 13 lakh Rotarian from 200 countries and about 2 crore volunteers are working in the service of humanity. Rotarians are working together to form a peaceful society by combining all the people in the bonds of brotherhood.
The Governor said , Rotary will implement various welfare programs including health, education, sanitation, proverty eradication, employment of youth in 2019-2020. Former Rotary Governor M Jamal Uddin, K M Zainul Abedin , AKM Shamsul Huda, Ishtiaque Zaman, Sam Showket Hossain, District Secretory Rafiqul Hasan, Nurun Nessa Begum, Abdus Salek, Rtn Tofazzul Hossain Himu, Hosne Ara Poly, Iqbal Mahmud & other leaders attended the press conference.
