On the occasion of 91st birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, a roof garden named Bangamata was inaugurated on the roof of the Deputy Commissioner’s building.
The garden was inaugurated at Nilphamari on Sunday afternoon after the inauguration of Bangamata’s birth anniversary celebrations across the country from Ganobhaban.
MP Rabia Alim, Deputy Commissioner Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Mokhlesur Rahman BPM, PPM, Mayor of Nilphamari Municipality and District Awami League President Dewan Kamal Ahmed, Additional District Magistrate Mirza Murad Hasan, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Shahid Mahmud, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Jasmine Nahar, Deputy Director of District Women’s Affairs Office Anisur Rahman, Senior Vice President of Nilphamari Chamber Farhanul Haque, Former President of the Chamber Abdul Wahed Sarkar, Mayor of Jaldhaka Municipality Ilias Hossain were present.
Deputy Commissioner Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury said Bangamata loved poor orphans. She loved to feed them. The fruits of my roof garden will be given to the poor orphans of Nilphamari.
