Staff Reporter :Like previous years Channel i in support with IFIC Bank is going to arrange a painting programme titled Rongtulitey Muktijuddho on the Channel i office premises in the city’s Tejgaon area on March 26 on the occasion of marking Independence Day.With the presence of country’s 50 noted and promising painters will draw on their canvases in the programme to focus on the country’s war of independence. Popular TV actor and director Afzal Hossain will moderate the programme.Noted educationist Borhanuddin Khan Jahangir will inaugurate the event. This year the event will be sacrificed to late painter Qayyum Chowdhury to pay tribute to him. Besides drawing, noted Tagore artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya and students of her music school, Surer Dhara will perform in the programme, which will be telecasted on Channel i live from 2:30pm to 5:00pm. This was announced at a press conference held at Channel i office on Wednesday where Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor, internationally renowned painter Monirul Islam, Chief Executive of Gallery Chitrak Moniruzzaman, noted actor and painter Afzal Hossain, Deputy Managing of IFIC Bank Haikal Hashmi, among others, spoke at the conference.
