Highlighting the success of Daink Bangladesh Pratidin in meeting the challenges faced by the readers and media, Chittagong City Corporation Mayor M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said the role of media is essential in ensuring development and services. Bangladesh Pratidin is fulfilling its national responsibility. The Mayor said this while inaugurating a friendship rally on Monday on the occasion of Bangladesh Pratidin entering a new year of founding ceremony.
Despite the corona alert, there were well-wishers in the Chittagong office of Pratidin.. The city mayor inaugurated the epoch-making ceremony by cutting a cake. Then former mayor AJM Nasir Uddin joined the friendship conference.
Chittagong Press Club President Ali Abbas addressed the function which was presided over by Bangladesh Pratidin Chittagong Bureau Chief and Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Vice-President Reaz Haider Chowdhury and Freedom fighter environmentalist Professor Muhammad Idris Ali were present. Chittagong South District Awami League General Secretary Mofizur Rahman, Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) Central Organizing Secretary. MM Minhazur Rahman, former co-president of BFUJ Mostaq Ahmed, general secretary of Chittagong Press Club Chowdhury Farid, general secretary of Chittagong Journalists Union Md. Shamsul Islam and former general secretary Hasan Ferdous, former president of the Chittagong University Teachers Association. Benu Kumar Dey and General Secretary Sekandar Chowdhury, Chittagong District Shilpakala Academy General Secretary Saiful Alam Babu, former panel mayor Nisar Uddin Ahmed Monju, former general secretary of Nagar Puja Udjapan Parishad Sumon Debnath and others were present on the occasion.
