Iftar Mahfil followed by a discussion meeting and distribution of clothes among the poor held at its Station Road office as arranged by Bishwajanin Shanti Sanga, Chitagong on June 18 last . Chairman of the Sangha Principal Dr.Abdul Karim presided over it.
In the discussions, the speakers appreciated the role of the affluent of the society to help facilitate the alleviation of poverty from the society.
The chief of the organisation emphasised the need of the cooperation of the affluent society to establish the people in all levels of poors and society . He said role of the riches are essential to free the poor from their poverty.
In the discussions on Ramzan , new clothes among the poors were distributed by the chief of the organisation. He urges the affluents to donate the poor from Zakat fund to get themselves self-reliance and survial in the society.
Among others, Sangha Chief Dr SC Das, vice chairman Narayan Chandra Paul Mojibur Rahman Habib, Joint Secretary Dr.Anjan Kumar Das and other officials and executives of the Sangha participated the discussions, sources said.
