Rokeya Prachy returns to acting, direction

National Film Award winning actress and director Rokeya Prachy has been passing times with her family since corona
pandemic started. After a long time, her elder daughter Rimjhim
recently returned to Bangladesh. After returning to country, she is now attending her classes online. Rokeya Prachy is staying at her own residence in the capital’s Pallabi area along with her elder daughter, younger daughter Astha and mother Maksuda Begum. On Monday, she told this correspondent after Eid she will start to give direction of a new drama serial. She will also act in the serial.
While talking in this regard Rokeya Prachy said, “In fact, during long time of corona pandemic, I totally passed time at home with my family. I gave special time to my mother. Elder daughter has returned to country. I passed good times with two daughters. I have been passing good days with my family. In fact, I gave time to myself. It is really a likeable matter. Only four documentaries were made under the banner of my production house on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary. Of them, I made and also acted in
the documentary Juddho Ebong Birangona. After Eid, I will make a new drama serial and I will also act. Right now I am busy with it.”
Rokeya Prachy first acted in BTV drama Joy Porajoy. Then she came into limelight to star in Morshedul Islam’s movie Dukhai. She got National Film Award for acting in this movie. Besides Dukhai, Matir Moina, Antorjatra, Karigor, Doob, Moner Manush, Gariwala, Swapnodanai, Britter Baire, Andho Nirangom are Prachy-starrer her mentionable films.
