Members of the Highway Police arrested a Rohingya woman along with 1000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from Ghoramara area under Sitakunda upazila on Dhaka Chittagong Highway Monday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Taslima Begum, 24, wife of M Hamid Hossain, hailed from Teknaf refugee camp.
Ahasan Habib, Officer-in-Charge of Highway Police Station confirmed the news to the Daily Observer.
He said, a team of patrol police arrested her with the contraband while she was travelling to Sitakunda around 10:00am. A case was filed with Sitakunda Police Station in this connection.
