Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have arrested a suspected Rohingya drug trader from Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
The elite force also recovered 1.50 lakh Yaba tablets, worth about Tk 7.50 crore, from his possession.
The accused is identified as M Mizan,21, son of Boni Amin of block C of Kutupalang Rohingya camp. RAB-15 assistant director (media) Abdullah M Sheikh Sadi confirmed the matter on Thursday.
He said the accused was handed over to Ukhia police.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-15 raided Chhoto Bailyakhali Bridgeon the Cox’s Bazar Teknaf Marine Drive road on Wednesday evening.
Mizan was nabbed while fleeing with a sack after sensing the presence of the elite force.
