Police detained a young man suspecting him to be a Rohingya from Railbazar area of Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
Mansur Alam, son of Kalamia, will be sent to Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday, said Police Super Nijam Uddin.
He said they remain alert to ensure so that Rohingyas who have taken shelter in Bangladesh in the face of persecution by Myanmar security forces in Rakhine State cannot stay in the district.
Mansur’s language was also not understandable, the OC said.
