They are professional journalists but they are also engaged with writing lyrics of songs regularly. Some of them are writing lyrics for musical albums, while some other are writing for playback tracks. But these eight journalists earlier didn’t write lyrics for a common album. It is really an interesting matter.
To disclose the matter and also to take part in a photo session, these eight journalists gathered at the garden of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the city’s Tejgaon area recently.
Along with them music director and composer of the mixed album titled Rodela Akash, Rakib Musabbir also presented there.
These eight journalists are: MS Rana, Borhan Biswas, Rezaur Rahman Rizvi, A Mizan, Omar Faruk, Tareq Firoz, Aronno Pasha and Sumon Mostufa.
All the lyricists are hopeful about their songs. Kazi Shuvo, Puja, Tausif, Elias Hossain, Ayon, Anisa, Shahed, Farabi, Keya, MS Rana and Hema gave their vocals for the songs in the album.
Rakib Musabbir has composed tunes and music of all the tracks of the album. While talking in this regard he said, “It is my fourth featuring album. I hope that like my previous albums Rodela Akash will be successful. I have composed tunes and music of all the tracks very sincerely. I believe listeners will enjoy the tracks.”
It may be mentioned that there are nine tracks in the album. Besides journalist-lyricists, the rest track was written by Sheikh Sumon Emdad. This album will release on the occasion of upcoming Valentine’s Day, Rakib Musabbir said.
