Police recovered one rocket, one hand grenade and 279 rounds of bullets from Sutihata Kamalpur in Sadar upazila on Wednesday morning.
On information, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of one Shamsul Haque in the area and recovered one hand grenade, one rocket
launcher and 279 rounds of bullets in an abandoned condition around 11am, said Sheikh Ilias Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Jessore Kotwali Police Station.
The seized arms and ammunition might have been kept during the Liberation War, added the OC. A general diary was filed in this connection.
