Campus Report :
The departments of SWE, EEE and ETE jointly organized a robot control-training event followed by a robot control competition for the students of Daffodil International University (DIU) on Saturday at DIU Auditorium.
A total of 150 students of EEE, CSE, SWE and ETE had been registered in the competition. Takayoshi Suzuki, a Japanese visiting faculty member of DIU conducted the training session for the teachers and students about the line tracer (line follower) robot assembly and to develop software to control the robots.
Students learnt about how embedded software is to be developed and to put inside the micro-controller of the robots so that robot itself can take decision while running on by taking response from the surface as input.
The teachers and student will get two week long training on this event and the students will participate in a final competition which will take place on 30 November 2014. Certificates and prizes will be awarded to winners.
