Business Desk :
Mobile phone operator Robi claimed it has incurred losses for the third consecutive quarter in spite of having significant growth of acquiring 4G customers in the first quarter (Q1) of the year.
“. . .with our customer-centric marketing initiatives, the prevailing competitive landscape in the sector impedes our company’s progress, as we have yet again incurred loss in this quarter (January-March) despite aggressive growth, this is very discouraging,” Robi Managing Director and CEO Mahtab Uddin Ahmed in a statement said on Tuesday while releasing the quarterly business update of the company.
Robi’s profitability (PAT) was negative in Q1 of this year impacted by additional 4.5G costs coupled with increased borrowing rate in the market.
