Digital services provider, Robi has recently entered into a strategic partnership with NRB Commercial Bank Limited to facilitate disbursement of Government’s Safety Net fund to the beneficiaries across the country. The fund disbursement service will be available in Narshingdi to begin with, and later on it will be expanded across the country, said a press release.
Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and NRB Commercial Bank’s Managing Director, Kazi Md. Talha signed the document on behalf of their respective organizations. The signing ceremony took place at the Robi Corporate Office on Sunday.
This strategic partnership will allow NRB Commercial Bank to channel the safety net fund to the beneficiaries through Robi’s country-wide retailer base. Robi believes that the initiative will open a new horizon for the Government’s fund disbursement process and provide a much greater degree of convenience in accessing these funds.
Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer, Pradeep Shrivastava, Sales Operation’s Vice President, Md. Didarul Hassan Siddique, General Manager, Md. Omar Faruq Ibne Hasan and Manager, Ronald Rony Baidya and NRB Commercial Bank’s SEVP and Head of ID, Kabir Ahmed, EVP and Head of FI and ADC, Kazi Safayet Kabir, EVP and CFO, Harunur Rashid and FVP and Head of Gulshan Branch, Hasnat Reza Mohibbul Alam were also present on the occasion.
