Cellular phone operator Robi has brought opportunity for its customers to recharge mobile phone account through ATM machines.
To this end, the operator Thursday struck a deal with IT Consultants Ltd (ITCL) to introduce the mobile phone recharge service, said a Robi press release.
To avail this unique service, account holders of Trust Bank and Jamuna Bank using their ATM cards can recharge any Robi pre-paid numbers. Bill payment of post-paid numbers will also be included in a few weeks.
The service is designed to ensure a new customer friendly experience while providing a secured platform to recharge against their Robi numbers.
Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Robi Chief Operating Officer and Kazi Saifuddin Munir, Managing Director and CEO of ITCL signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
Supun Weerasinghe, MD and CEO of Robi was present on the occasion.
Commercial launch of the service is scheduled to commence on 16th December 2014. Initially Trust Bank and Jamuna Bank account holders will be able to avail this service.
It is expected that this service will soon be available for account holders of other leading commercial banks.
