Robi organised a Career Carnival at North South University (NSU) on Thursday.
The programme was meant for making the NSU students aware of the career opportunities available with the company as well as imparting knowledge on the industry.
Robi’s Executive Vice President of Brand and Market Communications Toffael Rashid conducted a seminar on “Robi – The Telco brand” in which the students came to know how Robi has established itself as a brand that empowers people to ignite the power within through delivering quality mobile telecom service.
Robi’s Vice President (VP), Resourcing, Sharmin Sultan briefed the students on the career opportunity available for the fresh graduates in the company. She also explained how Robi works as an organisation and advised them on how they could plan their career. Among others, Shahedul Alam, Company Secretary and EVP, Regulatory Affairs; Nazir Ahmed, EVP, Sales; Asif Rashid, EVP, IT & Charging; and Alauddin, VP, Corporate Finance, informed the students on the career opportunities in their respective areas. Robi’s Chief Corporate and People Officer (CCPO) Matiul Islam Nowshad was also present in the event.
In the “Tea with Business Leaders” session, the students had an opportunity to have an informal session with Robi Axiata Limited’s senior management team members. In addition, mock interviews were organiaed for the interested students to give them a feel for how it is like to face a professional interview board. Following the tea session, a quiz contest was also organised for them.
A career counselling booth was also set up where Robi officials replied to the queries of the enquiring students.
